Risk Engineering
Our objective is to offer a continuous risk engineering programme which supports and improves the safe operation of owned energy units, offshore modules, fleets of vessels or other types of units.
By analysing trends and conducting onsite inspections and reviews, we bring with us a proactive approach. We attend meetings with in-house technical departments or technical managers to identify risk and offer advice on how best it can be managed.
Working with our clients, we focus on their self-improvement. We operate transparently and continuously support the risk engineering process to make the risk engineering programme as beneficial as possible.
It is often the case that obstacles which our clients consider to be impossible to overcome can be the most fertile cases for successful risk engineering. We do this by working hard to achieve a common understanding between us and our clients, focusing in particular on past incidents, failings, non-conformity, reporting, crewing and maintenance short-falls, class, and Port State Control difficulties.
Lavaretus has strong relationships with groups such as BIMCO, IACS, Shipowners' associations, CIMAC and CEFOR. Where we have gained knowledge from them, we will apply it to our clients' risk engineering programmes.
Through Lavaretus' global representation we are able to be on-site at any time to carry out surveys and inspections, supported by our knowledge of each region and familiarity with local authorities.
In engineering, when an idea develops from an invention to an innovation, different component technologies are fused together. Until these technologies have fused, success awaits. We accelerate and facilitate that fusion.
